Common Symptoms of Stage 3B Chronic Kidney Disease

Common Symptoms of Stage 3B Chronic Kidney DiseaseGlomerular filtration rate (GFR) can divide chronic kidney disease into five stages. More detailedly, Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease can be divided into stage 3a and stage 3b. In Stage 3B, kidneys are functioning at 30%~44%. Because more than 50% of kidney function has been lost, a series of related symptoms appear.

The following are some common symptoms for Stage 3B CKD patients.

1. Urination Changes

Changes in urination include color, frequency and amount. If there are red blood cells in urine, patients’ urine will become red, coca-cola color, brown or even black. In this stage, patients may also have frequent urination at night, or the urine output in 24 hours declines.

2. High Blood Pressure

With the accumulation of fluid and sodium in the body and RAS disorders, blood pressure increases gradually. If uncontrolled effectively, high blood pressure will speed up the progression of chronic kidney disease and may cause more severe complications.

3.Tiredness or fatigue

If kidneys in stage 3b are unable to produce enough EPO, the body will fail to make enough red blood cells, resulting in renal anemia easily. This is the leading cause of tiredness and fatigue. Besides, buildup of waste products and toxins are another reason.

4.Back pain

Back pain won’t appear in every patient with Stage 3B Chronic Kidney Disease. However, if patients’ kidney disease is due to PKD, kidney cyst, kidney blockage, and so on, they may have back pain.

5. Swelling

For patients with Stage 3B Chronic Kidney Disease, their swelling must be associated with fluid retention or protein leakage. It may appear in eyelids, legs, feet, hands, stomach, and so on.

Additionally, patients may have some other kidney-related symptoms. If you have one or more symptoms the above mentioned, you should ask help from your doctor or doctor online to determine how to manage your problems.
