Is Surgery Necessary for Treatment of Renal Sinus Cyst

Is Surgery Necessary for Treatment of Renal Sinus CystRenal sinus cyst describes fluid-filled cyst generating from renal sinus, and it is also called parapelvic cyst. If it is small, patients only need to take regular follow-up. However, patients should take some treatments, when the cyst is larger than 3 cm. Surgery is one treatment for kidney cyst. Well then, is surgery necessary for renal sinus cyst?

Fortunately, the answer is no. If the renal sinus conforms to the following conditions, patients don’t need to do surgery.

1. Renal sinus cyst is small

Surgery can only remove large kidney cyst but cannot do anything for small cyst. Therefore, if your renal sinus cyst is smaller than 3 or 4 cm, you don’t need to resort to surgery. In this case, to slow down the growth of renal sinus cyst, a right diet plan and lifestyle is needed. Have you done these? (If not, you can ask help from the doctor online.)

2. Patients still have other treatment option

In clinic, surgery may not be the best treatment for renal sinus cyst. What’s worse, aspiration, one surgery used commonly to remove kidney cyst, is not applicative for renal sinus cyst, because this type of cyst is located in the deep part of kidneys.

In fact, aside from surgery, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can also help deal with kidney cyst. Compared with surgery, they need relatively longer time to work but doesn’t cause any side effect. Also, they can prevent the relapse of kidney cyst.

3. Patients don’t have any symptom or discomfort

If renal sinus cyst doesn’t cause any symptom, patients don’t need to be worried. In this case, they can still avoid surgery.

If your renal sinus has caused some symptoms or it is too big, take correct treatment to deal with it. Remember surgery shouldn’t be your only choice.
