What Does Creatinine 3 Mean With FSGS

What Does Creatinine 3 Mean With FSGSFor patients with Focal Segmental Glomerulus Sclerosis (FSGS), high creatinine is a dangerous sign of their kidney condition. Well then, if a FSGS patient has a creatinine level 3, what does that mean?

FSGS will cause damage in patient’s glomeruli partly, which can affect patient’s glomerular filtration rate (GFR) directly. As a result, patient’s kidney function will go down gradually in this process, and that can cause lots of abnormal signs and symptoms.

Why patients with FSGS has high creatinine?

As we have said, high creatinine is due to the decrease of patient’s kidney function.

Creatinine is the metabolic product of muscle, and it should be filtrated out by kidney. So, when patient’s kidney function is damaged severely, creatinine will accumulate in patient’s body, and that will cause patient to have high creatinine.

In fact, many factors can lead to high creatinine, but if it is caused by kidney damage, that will be dangerous, because kidney has strong metabolic ability and compensation, and high normal kidney function will be able to guarantee our body health. Thereby, if high creatinine appears in patients with FSGS, that indicates more than half kidney function has already been damaged.

What does creatinine 3 mean with FSGS?

Thereby, the lower FSGS patient’s kidney function is, the higher patient’s creatinine level will be. So, what does it indicate if patient has creatinine level 3.

As we already know, it is not easy for patients with FSGS to have high creatinine, and it is also hard for patient’s high creatinine to rise. The normal creatinine level should be 0.5~1.3mg/dL, so creatinine 3 is much higher than normal. In fact, patient’s high creatinine usually indicates more than two thirds kidney function has been damaged, at which stage many health problems can appear.

Thereby, if FSGS patients have creatinine level 3, it means patient’s kidney function is severely damaged, so patient should do what they can to improve their condition.
