What Happens When Dialysis Stops working

When dialysis stop working, deadly results may come to light. When kidney disease develop into end stage of kidney failure, dialysis will be life-sustaining treatment. About 1/4 of Kidney Failure patients choose to stop dialysis, however, most of them died within sever days to several weeks.

When dialysis stops, the waste products and extra fluids will build up in the blood, causing various complications which may affect all system and organs of your body. With the different speed of toxin build-up, the results vary from person to person.

Here are some symptoms after Dialysis withdrawal for your information:

- Congestion (If saliva and mucus collect in the back of the throat, you may hear a gurgling sound. While the sound can be distressing to hear, it’s a normal response to a fluid imbalance and the inability to cough up normal secretions. It may help to raise the head. Turning the head to the side allows gravity to drain the congestion.)

- Disorientation, confusion and failure to recognize familiar faces

- Changes in color and skin temperature

- Visions of people who don’t exist

- Sleeping most of the day

- Loss of appetite and fluid overload

- Restlessness

Changes in breathing. (Changed breathing patterns indicate decreased circulation in the internal organs and buildup of waste products. Elevating the head and/or turning onto the side may increase comfort.)

To alleviate these symptoms, medications and natural ways are used. However, other medicines are often not a priority any more. Usually natural ways will be considered firstly than chemical medicines, because natural remedy shows no side effects on patients. Also, it helps lead to a peaceful life for patients. You are suggested to take herbs that are tonic to your kidneys. And also some herbs that help reduce pain and improve appetite and sleep quality will be also recommended.
