An Overview of Hemodialysis Contraindications

An Overview of Hemodialysis ContraindicationsHemodialysis is the most common type of kidney dialysis, and it plays an important role in kidney failure treatment. However, not all patients with end stage renal disease can accept hemodialysis, because of contraindications.

Although hemodialysis can help diseased kidneys to filter blood, it isn't one part of the body and can't work as effectively as healthy kidneys. Then, during or after this treatment, patients may suffer from some problems or discomforts. To prevent these problems, patients had better check whether they have the following problems before beginning dialysis treatment.

- Shock or severe low blood pressure (systolic pressure <80mmHg)

- Pulmonary edema and heart failure due to severe myocardial lesions

- Severe arrhythmia

- Serious bleeding tendency or brain bleeding

- End stage malignant tumor

- Extreme failure or dying patients

- Patients have metal illness or refuse hemodialysis treatment

If patients have one of the above contraindications, they had better choose some alternative therapies to dialysis. Is there such one therapy?

Fortunately, the answer is yes. If patients still have certain kidney function and urine output, they can adopt conservative therapies such as:

- Clear Blood Pollution Therapy: This therapy consists of three steps: cleansing the blood, adding essential nutritions to the blood, and prompting the recovery of impaired kidney cells. During the treatment plan, damaged kidney cells recover to work gradually, and patients can avoid dialysis successfully.

- Immunotherapy: If patients' kidney failure is attributed to immune disorder and deposits of immune complexes, this therapy can help remove immune complexes, regulate immune system and rebuild kidney filtering structure through six steps.

Compared with hemodialysis, these two therapies can make patients live with their own kidneys, produce fewer side effects and have fewer contraindications. Tell us more about your illness condition, so we can help you determine which therapy is best for you.
