High Sodium Foods

When medullary spongy kidney disrupts kidney function, fluid builds up in the body, leading to high blood pressure and swelling. Sodium is an essential mineral that helps maintain fluid balance by retaining fluid. High sodium foods will contribute to further swelling.

The high sodium foods include table salt, backing soda, backing powder, soy sauce, salad dressing, bouillon cubes, yeast extract spread, sun dried tomatoes, bacon, reversed meats, cheese etc.

High Fat Foods
