Healthy kidneys help to regulate blood pressure by producing a hormone called renin. Impaired kidneys may produce excessive renin, thus leading to increased blood pressure. High blood pressure increase the risk of heart attack, congestive heart failure and stroke.

Ⅱ. Diabetes

High blood sugar level can damage the blood vessels not only in the kidneys but also elsewhere in the body, including the major vessels that feed the muscles of the heart.

Ⅲ. Hyperlipidaemia

If Chronic Kidney Disease patients have increased levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, they are at risk factor in the development of CVD.

IV. Heart strain

Retention of too much fluid in the body put strain on the heart and increases the risk of complications including left ventricular hypertrophy, which can result in heart failure.
