Blood in Urine (Hematuria): A Sign of Kidney Cyst Rupture

Blood in Urine (Hematuria): A Sign of Kidney Cyst RuptureBlood in urine, or hematuria, refers to an excessive number of red blood cells in urine. There are many causes of this condition. Also, it can be a sign of Kidney Cyst rupture.

Blood in urine, or hematuria, is the most common sign of ruptured Renal Cyst within the kidney. In mild conditions, blood is not detectable to the naked eyes, only being detected by a urinalysis screen available by the physician.

In more serious cases, the cysts may cause bleeding that is visible during urine excretion. Complex cysts are more likely to result in bleeding with rupture.

Other signs of ruptured Kidney Cyst

• Pain. Ruptured kidney cyst can lead to pain in the back, sides, abdomen and hips. Usually, the discomfort is due to the cysts being located externally on the kidney and growing and pressing against surrounding tissues of the body. The suppression of enlarged cyst can cause it to rupture.

Pain can also be caused by infection. The infection may spread to other parts of the body.

• Sepsis and hemorrhage. These are sever signs that need urgent medical attention at first notice of onset. Sepsis may manifested with symptoms including fever, low blood pressure, low pulse rate, failure of organs, decreased urine output and so on.

• Acute Renal Failure. In the case, the urine output may stopped suddenly because of vascular injury and malfunction of the kidney due to blockage.

Early treatment of ruptured kidney cyst is very essential. If you have one or more of the above symptoms, please talk with your doctor or consult us online for corresponding solution.
