Can I Stop Dialysis with End Stage Hypertensive Nephropathy

Posted: by Dr.Zhao Time: 2015-06-14 02:48

Topics: Dialysis Hypertensive Nephropathy

Details: I am male. I developed kidney problem as a result of high blood pressure. Now, I have expansion of heart and kidney failure, and I have done dialysis for 5 times now. I want to stop it. Can I?

Expert Answer

High blood pressure, secondary to diabetes, is also one leading cause of chronic kidney disease, and we call kidney disease due to hypertension Hypertensive Nephropathy. If uncontrolled effectively, Hypertensive Nephropathy will aggravate into end stage. At that moment, kidneys fail to cleanse the blood effectively, so patients need to take some renal replacement therapies to maintain their basic life.

Dialysis is commonly used to prolong end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients’ life expectancy in clinic, because it can replace impaired kidneys to filter blood and maintain fluid retention. However, dialysis is unable to do all of kidneys’ works, so the longer patients on dialysis, the more side effects they have. I believe this is why you want to stop dialysis.

To determine whether you still have chance to stop dialysis, you should tell us whether you still have urine or not. If the answer is yes, you can try some natural remedies like Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Clear Blood Pollution Therapy to improve your kidney function level. Finally, you can live without dialysis successfully.
