Topics: Stage 3 CKD Stage 3 CKD Diagnosis

Details: I have Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease and creatinine 3.0mg/dl. Can kidney biopsy be done at this stage?

Expert Answer

To determine the pathogenic factor, patients may be suggested to do renal biopsy that can guide patients to accept correct treatment. However, this doesn’t mean all kidney patient can do this test. If they have one of the following problems, they can’t accept renal biopsy.

- Obvious bleeding tendency

- Severe hypertension

- Mental disease

- Isolated kidney

- Small kidney

- Kidney tumor

- Polycystic Kidney Disease or enlarged kidney cyst

- Very obesity

- Heart failure

If you don’t have any problem the above mentioned, you can do kidney biopsy. After finding out the underlying cause, the next step is to accept correct treatment to reverse your kidney damage and save your kidneys timely.

At present, several therapies such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy, Clear Blood Pollution Therapy and Stem Cell Therapy can help rebuild kidney filtering structure. According to patients’ illness condition, doctors will choose correct therapy to manage their kidney problem. If you have any question, you can consult the doctor online.
