10% Kidney Function and Creatinine 2400 for FSGS

Posted: by Dr.Zhao Time: 2015-01-24 06:14

Topics: FSGS FSGS Diagnosis

Details: I have FSGS but I am not sure what caused it. I am on peritoneal dialysis for over a year and was on hemodialysis for a few months before. My creatinine is up to 2400 and I have less than 10% kidney function.

Expert Answer

FSGS is one type of glomerular disease. Since patients' medical conditions are quite different, their prognosis is also different. According to clinical research, quite a number of FSGS patients eventually have kidney failure. Creatinine 2400 and 10% kidney function just indicates patients' FSGS has already progressed into end stage kidney failure.

From your description, we can know you have accepted peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, but your creatinine level is still dangerous high. If you don't take other therapies, you may experience life-threatening complications easily.

In addition to kidneys, feet and skin can also help kidneys to eliminate waste products and toxins through increasing the blood volume all over the body or prompting sweating. To strengthen the function of these organs, Chinese Medicine Hot Compress Therapy, Foot Bath, Blood Purification, Clear Blood Pollution Therapy, etc, can help cleanse the blood and improve kidney condition to some extent.

As long as more waste chemicals are excreted out of the body via kidneys, serum creatinine level declines naturally. To get a personal treatment plan, you can ask help from the doctor online.
