Topics: ESRD GFR

Details: I am an ESRD patient and my GFR is 26.4. I attached all my latest reports taking in consideration. My main medication is as follows :1- cell cept, neural, valtrex, prednisone.

Expert Answer

I analyzed the test report. (kidney size:16.2*9cm, hemoglobin10.8, BUN 102, Creatinine 2.1, GFR 26.4). Your GFR26.4 is too low and you have anemia. The kidney is not functioning well and it cannot secrete the erythropoietin. The medicine you take now cannot effect on your kidney. Cellcept is proper to prevent rejection. Neural is for nerves and valtrex for preventing contagion. Prenisidone is a kind of hormone to restrain immune reaction. We have to repair the kidney and recover its function, or if the creatinine increases you have to do dialysis again. Hope you can get better soon.
