FSGS: Proteinuria Recurs after Prednisolone Treatment

Posted: by Dyllan Time: 2013-08-12 16:08

Topics: FSGS proteinuria prednisolone

Details: I have FSGS and was treated with prednisolone just for 6 weeks after which it regressed. But 5 months later, proteinuria reappeared. What can be done to fight this relapse?

Expert Answer

Hello, Dyllan, frequent relapse of FSGS, especially after infection, is a common thing. To get rid of its recurrence, we need to regulate the immune system, instead of only suppressing it.

Based on your description, your kidney condition can actually get partial remission after taking prednisolone. This medicine can control the symptoms of FSGS but fails to eliminate the root cause - disordered immune system. As a result, the disease may recur easily.

To completely treat FSGS, we suggest you find a systematic treatment which can eliminate various symptoms like proteinuria, restore the renal function and rebuild your immune system. Only in this way, you can fully recover from this disorder.

Immunotherapy is one of effective treatments with the above curative effects. You can check this link for more detailed information about this remedy: Holistic Medicine for FSGS: Immunotherapy
