Posted: by Ajay Time: 2013-07-12 15:19

Topics: Dialysis life expectancy

Details: My mom started dialysis last autumn. I have had other family member that have been on it. It seems like 2 yrs is the average with them that survive on it. Is this true?

Expert Answer

Actually, this is not true. Dialysis is usually recommended when patient's kidney function is about 10-15% of normal. With good care, patient can live for many years with It. However, the average life span for all dialysis patient is current between 3-5 years. The mortality rate for patients with Stage 5 Kidney Failure is 22% annually.

Fortunately, natural treatment is available to largely extend dialysis patient's life expectancy and improve the quality of life. For more information, please refer to: Latest Treatment for End Stage Kidney Disease--Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy
